If you're a lover of snowshoes and/or someone who hates having their feet slide around in a few inches of snow then you'll probably want snowshoes for the ridge between the peaks. Otherwise spikes were sufficient for the entire hike. I don't think I've ever experienced such sublime conditions on the hancocks. Dare I say...it was actually an enjoyable hike today and it brought me two peaks closer to my winter goal. 57/SSW115 |
