first crossing right at the TH open, but easily rock stepped; the other two crossings were bridged, could hear the water running underneath - always a little disconcerting! |

Cloudy / in the clouds kind of day, but still beautiful in the woods. Temps mid 20's at the base with light winds. Trail is in near perfect condition right now with packed snow all the way...only a few small ice patches above the second water crossing and some partially exposed rocks still, mostly down low. Barebooted until just after the second water crossing; put spikes on after that and they stayed on for the rest of the hike. Great day to be out! |
