Lost and Found
Lost and Found: There still is a pair of water shoes, a sock, a car key, and a can of mace at the kiosk. This trailhead always has the best trail magic. The lone boot finally has disappeared.

Comments
Comments: A FINE day in the forest was had. Living in Franconia Notch is always interesting. Usually the Notch Weather Machine(TM) does whatever it wants, forecast be da&*ed, Today however, it stoically repelled the ice storm to our south. We salute you, the Night's Watch. Trail's are in pretty good shape. Little River Road is great. The sign is gone, but remember to take your spikes off at the bridge! The trail to Haystack road is a green sign that says "Trail" about 1/10th from the bridge. It's about 100yards past the old way, which is closed, wildly overtly signed and flagged with "no trespassing" signs. Don't be that person. The connector is in fine shape, Haystack Road is a little chop suey due to the varying modes of traffic. However once on North Twin, it is solid. We put spikes on at the junction of Fire Warden's Trail and kept them on until our return on to the bridge. Fire Warden's Trail is in great shape as well. Some enthusastic lunatic has even taken out the 18" blowdown in the col by the barrels. Sleeted heavily for about two hours, but the temps and wind where warm. Noted bountiful chaga on our trek, none worth harvesting, too small. A Hale of a day to be out, despite the conditions. Another peak gridded out! Drip drip drip....
