Liberty Springs is in excellent condition with a great base but still plenty of rocks that aren't covered up yet. The ridge was nicely packed as well. Once on Flume we decided we needed some spice so we headed down Flume Slide where we found that many people have used it and there were lots of nice steps kicked in the steeps. There were options to used the kick-steps or plow through shin deep pow and use the trees to lower yourself down. There were a few ice banks that were avoidable. The 3 of us were in Hillsound trail crampons, and were comfortable.
Great day out with Snowy and GI Joe. |
