Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Bronson Hill Trail is marked with red diamonds and Overlook Farm Loop is marked with blue diamonds. I think the markings were often enough and I certainly didn’t have any trouble following either trail though they were both previously travelled. I don’t recall any blowdowns.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: This seems like a good place to walk your dog. The trail signs at the beginning ask your to leash them around others. Also, note that there is private property nearby here.

Comments
Comments: Day 66, Peak 58 (last post on Ragged Mountain should’ve been peaks 56&57…I got mixed up). 1st hike of the day. A cloudy day but I never really got rained on which was appreciated and it was quite warm (temps near 40!)which was a nice change. Had it not been so windy, it would’ve been quite a pleasant day!

Follow Dyke Rd for just over 0.1mi to the start of the trails on the right. Make sure not to miss it. From there, I followed the Overlook Farm Loop, taking a left on it almost immediately to follow it clockwise. I soon took another left onto the Bronson Hill Trail which I followed to a point very close to the summit. This trail descends and contours for a bit before ascending, steeply at times, to the summit. I followed a herd path to the true summit all of a couple hundred feet from the trail. It did not have a jar…I do not recall if there was a cairn or not marking it. Once back on Bronson Hill Trail, rather than follow my footsteps back down, I decided to make a loop, continuing along Bronson Hill Trail back down to the Overlook Farm Loop, connecting with it at a spot north of where I left it on my ascent. Great “overlook” by the farm on my way down ;) A neat little trail system :)

All trails had at least one set of tracks on them and some had many more. Only a few inches of snow depth max though now there’s at least a bit more I’m sure. There was some ice underneath the snow on my ascent up Bronson Hill so I recommend microspikes which I wore the entire time. A few open, wet spots too. 299 more days and 307 more peaks to go…
