| Comments: |
The 2-3" of powder from late last week was transitioning to granular late this morning due to the light freezing drizzle (some compaction, but no visible snowmelt). Red Hill Trail was fairly well bootpacked and could be Microspiked without issue (a few minor blue ice areas). Snowshoes would have been okay as well. Snowshoes would be a good idea if venturing off the main trail (close to a foot of snowpack in places up high). Icy glaze forming on trees/objects this morning.
The bridge section of trail remains closed, so foot traffic continues along the snowmobile corridor, adding a slight bit of distance and vertical (an up and down). The fire tower steps are also chained off, so the only view is from the picnic table (directional of Winnipesaukee).
Support liberty. |
