Water Crossing Notes: Some crossings need care due to ice surrounding the crossing.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Couldn't tell due to snow cover.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw 8 dogs, all unleashed in violation of the "all dogs must be leashed" sign at the bottom. 7 out of 8 were friendly dogs but self-exceptionalism is common among the wealthy elements of society.
Bugs
Bugs: None-part of the appeal of winter hiking.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Patterned bandana still hanging half way down the trail. Some sort of hat at the parking area on a sign.

Comments
Comments: This was a substitute for Mt Langdon as the parking area was packed.

Bluebird day, no wind, around 22F. As noted, saw 5 parties pass by. Two sections of the trail (midway and just before the cabin) would be candidates for traction for those that slip easily.

Everyone who walked this has barebooted although there are some uphill and downhill-running ski tracks.

The 2 inches of powder from 1/7 snow event hides crusty few inches underneath and covers the ice at some crossings - take caution until we get more accumulation or it amalgamates with additional water/ice precip.

1.5 hour up, 55 minutes down. No water at cabin due to frozen in winter.

NOTE: Please use skis or snowshoes on the ski trail.
