Comments
Comments: Snow cover is consistently 4-8” with deeper drifts - enough to smooth the trail but still some unpleasant surprise rocks. We broke it out today - 5 people on snowshoes - so it should be a nice packed trail for a little while! Route finding was challenging on unbroken trail with many blazes covered by snow. No major ice at this point, just a few spots under snow but very manageable. Would recommend snowshoes but could be done in spikes right now. Great views of Washington from Flagg and lovely afternoon sun on Sentinel!
