| Dog-Related Notes: |
I saw two dogs, both medium sized. One was wearing a coat and booties that had clearly been affixed with great care. I saw this dog many times and it seemed lively. I saw another dog without booties but only once, while its party had stopped to rest. |

Nope. |

| Comments: |
Snowshoes are the superior choice here. I did the whole thing in microspikes, but there were several places where snowshoes would have provided surer footing and a few places where I was messing up the trail a bit. It would be feasible to put on the snowshoes in the parking lot and hike the whole trail in them. The few places with exposed rock are easily avoided.
Snow is not yet deep enough for much butt sliding. |
