Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I squeezed in at the start of the Class VI portion of North Line Rd., at its northern end (can't get to this point from the southern end of the road). Limited room without blocking driveways. If we get more snow, there probably won't be any parking here.

Comments
Comments: Finally, some decent snow cover for snowshoes. Still not a ton of snow, but enough that 'shoes were the best option.

From my parking spot, I walked the Class VI portion of the road, which had seen both truck and snowmobile traffic, up to a small clearing at the LRCT property boundary. I turned left onto a wide woods road with a chain gate, and followed that up to the great view ledge on the side of the mountain. Here, there are panoramic views over the Lakes Region from the Belknaps around to the Ossipees. From the ledge, I followed a narrower and older road, skirting around an overgrown section, then turned left onto a second similar road. This took me to a point just below the summit, and when it began turn away, I bushwhacked up in open woods to the wooded, unrecognized high point.
