Comments
Comments: Maybe 3" of powder on top of a fairly firm base. Unfortunately last weekend's hikers didn't wear snowshoes, so the upper mountain footing is terrible in places (ankle-twisting frozen divots and postholes hidden by the powder). Going to need a few more inches of snow to make this trail smooth sailing again. Snowpack is close to a foot deep up high. Could probably snowshoe the trail right now, but a little bony in places. Microspikes necessary otherwise.

Great baked goods at the Rumney Village Store nearby!
