Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Bridges on Boulder. The first stream crossing descending Jesus Valley was frozen over, but it creaked and cracked as I crossed; I think I would’ve gone through if I wasn’t wearing snow shoes. Second crossing was open but hoppable. Some open water by the beaver pond; I was able to get by without falling in.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: One tree down on Jesus Valley, easy to get around
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: A few areas of open water today for drinking (if you have picky dogs like mine who don’t like drinking out of bowls)

Comments
Comments: I used snowshoes the entire way, but by the time I got back down, Boulder Trail was ready for spikes or bare boots. Spikes will be handy at the top though, there are ice sheets on the rocks and hidden by the snow. I was the first one descending Jesus Valley-Beaver Pond, but there were ski tracks from yesterday on the bottom mile or so. Snowshoes will be useful on that trail.
