| Comments: |
Full snow cover remains, in a frozen granular state (except for the typical blue ice bulges on Old Mountain Erode). Unfortunately, the weekend hikers barebooted, leaving firm divets and postholes on the Crawford Ridgepole Trail that won't go away until either we get melting or new snow. Would be nice if folks could have been considerate and worn snowshoes when conditions were soft so that we'd have a nice footbed this week. Instead, its an ankle twisting mess.
Chilly, clear morning with temperatures in the single digits. Looks like there's some open water on the lake from the thaw, but the ice is closing in again.
Support liberty. |
