Comments
Comments: Fantastic day for Garfield! Last night’s weather added about 2” powder to the trail and that was fabulous as it gave some grip to the ice. Some poor soul bare booted in the slush, over the weekend, and left very clear and deep bootprints (2-8” deep; it varied). These boot prints were EXTRAORDINARILY helpful on the last 0.2 miles (the scrambly Garfield Ridge Trail section) as they acted like little steps. Though the poor soul left a sad face in the snow on the snowmobile bridge bypass to the first water crossing, his or her efforts were much appreciated by us so we converted it to a happy face!
Light traction was more than sufficient the whole way, today!!
