Comments
Comments: Full snow cover this morning, though the lower elevations were transitioning to spring snow and a little bit of slush. Above the water crossings, it was more of a wet packed powder. Did not encounter any ice. I'd venture a guess that the snowpack ranged from half a foot to a foot, perhaps a little bit more at elevation.

The footbed was firm enough to allow for barebooting, though it looks like it was the most work. Microspikes did okay, but didn't grip well while descending the softening/sticky snow higher up. I opted for snowshoes and found them to be ideal, but took them off toward the end/bottom due to a few bony areas.

Light rain at times this morning, but otherwise it was generally fog with temperatures in the 30s. Snow dropping off the trees in the lower elevations.
