All crossings had snow bridges and were easy to cross. |

Only a few. The rocky sections on Mt. Avalon and on the south side of Mt. Field might be a bit of a challenge for your dog. |

Actually, there was one crawling across the snow near the summit of Willey! |

| Comments: |
The trails were packed out really well all the way to the summits. There also isn't too much ice on the trails right now. (The only tricky ice section is a small part of the trail on the Avalon summit spur). It looked like the Willey Range Trail south of Mt. Willey was slightly packed down.
The trees were very snowy and beautiful, and we saw some gray jays on Field and Willey. We were very glad to see the Presidentials clear later in the day.
