The log at the crossing ~ 2 miles in did the trick. |

No issues to report other than a couple of widowmakers trees near the top. |

Dicey's Mill Trail is well tracked and well packed. Snow depth is pretty minimal but there is nearly full coverage throughout, save for a couple of run-off spots and perhaps a rock poking through here and there. However, snow became sticky as morning became afternoon. I wore a good set of spikes door to door and was mostly happy except for the occasional balling.
I had some unfinished business here so in that respect the mission was accomplished. Skies were mostly clouded and grey but there was a bit of blue as I approached the summit. Unfortunately, there were no views to be had near the top nor at the Walden Trail viewpoint - as such I didn't bother with the downhill spur path. Quiet day here as I only saw about a dozen others during my trek.
