Comments
Comments: A mild and beautiful temperate day! We were socked in for both summits and there was a decent amount of fog at times. Started off with crampons, which did the job great for the first few miles. We changed over to snowshoes when we linked up to Kinsman Ridge Trail. Wish we had done that earlier as we were having issues with snow balling up under our spikes. Snowshoes were perfect for the two summits as the snow was less packed (and televators are always nice!). We noticed significant melting on our way back, especially the final two miles-- no more snow on trees, some mud, and ice over water crossings a bit less stable.
