| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
For winter - Parked at the Seven Dwarfs Motel on little river road. $10 left at the office. Bring a pen and envelope. Walk up little river road. Turn right across the bridge and continue up the road until you see a sigh/arrow for "trail". Then turn left when you dead end into haystack road. This brings you to the trailhead. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Snowshoes, Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
It is easy to skip the first two crossings. Just stay on the east side of the river. This appears to be the predominant path. The third crossing of Little River now has a fragile ice bridge. It should stay of temps are cold. |

| Comments: |
Bare booted in with great traction until about 3500 ft where we used snowshoes. This was as much for the heal lifts as traction. Little river has an ice bridge forming and was easy. But by late afternoon, the trail out was packed hard and starting to ice up bad. I suspect micro spikes will be needed this weekend. |
