2 blowdowns in the Boncliff Trail above the railroad grade obstructing the path. Easily walked around. |

Dealers choice for traction. I elected to wear snow shoes for most of this hike, except for Lincoln Woods and above tree line on Bondclifff. I'd rather wear them than carry them, and there was enough slip and divoting with each step that the added traction made things much easier, and I was lovin' the heel risers on the ascent. There was a nice snowshoe track forming, but everyone else I encountered today was not wearing snowshoes . . . so much for that . . . but really light traction was entirely appropriate (for the moment).
I took the bypass of Hillary's Stumble, which I'd never seen before.
