It was a great day for Welch-Dickey! The trail was packed beautifully for spikes. It was easy to follow. The ledges were fine. I took two experienced hiking friends, but newbies in winter, and they did fine. We managed a mile an hour with a lovely stop for lunch at the Welch summit. Great views, icicles, a little snowfall, and other friendly hikers along the way made for a wonderful day. |
