| Comments: |
Balmy weather on Jefferson today with moderate wind. Managed with just a buff - no balaclava or ski mask necessary. Did the entire hike in Hillsound Trail Crampons, snowshoes came for the ride. There are drifts on the Gulfside, but we just hiked through them. We did have a hard time following the Jewell Trail from treeline up to the Gulfside trail. The cairns are really small and they were heavily rimed over, making them hard to pick out. The snowfield bypass is not deep enough yet to use. |
