There was roadside parking along Rt 302 full from the Highland Center to down past the the Jackson parking lot and about 1/3 of that on the opposite side. Work and school vaca perhaps?

Comments
Comments: A wonderful warm day with good views and virtually no wind except for 10 mph on the side and atop Mt Eisenhower. I finally got view from Eisie for the first time since 2011 - the other times I was up there since had been socked in. Also, a beautiful walk up the trail along all the snow covered trees. The trail from start to finish was a well packed snow highway with some bony areas at lower elevations but nothing that interrupted the packed snow trail. There was some looser snow higher up but nothing higher than ankle deep. I wore Hillsounds from start to finish and carried snowshoes not knowing what may unfold for the trek across to Eisenhower. It was 27 degrees at 7:15 when I started and 37 degrees at 11:45 when I finished. There were four hikers ahead of me but when I left the peak of Eisenhower at 10:00, I estimated about 120+ hikers going up as I descended. I met one of the four hikers that were ahead in the parking lot. His unofficial count was 144. Plan your bio breaks because there was no privacy on the descent this day.
