Plenty of parking at AMC Lodge. Noted "No parking along road" signs near the lodge (where there aren't off-road parking lots) - this is different from previous years when you could park along the road at popular ski times!!! This means parking will be tight once we get some powder!!! |

No issues. Appreciated the new signs on the ski trails saying NO HIKING - SKI TRAIL! |

Terrific afternoon but a bit sketchy above treeline - the last couple tenths of a mile - in a cloud and blustery - wouldn't want to have an accident up there - very easy to get disoriented. The way isn't totally obvious - I always tell myself, "When I descend, take a left at the big rock!"
Main trails had a good solid snowshoe track. A lot of people with just traction and no snowshoes - luckily no postholing for now!!! Good first snowshoeing of the winter!!!
Still too bony to ski/snowboard but there were a few tracks on the ski trails - lots of the larger rocks still poking out. |
