| Comments: |
I wore K10 Crampons and my partner wore microspikes. Both were sufficient but regret not putting on my snowshoes in several sections. The hi cannon trail had not been traveled yet since the morning snowfall. The loose powder made some sections a little tricky and slow moving but the ladder did not pose any problems.
Coming down from Cannon to Lonesome Lake was steep but rocks were well covered and you could use your butt If needed.
After a quick stop at the hut for lunch we travel down the well packed highway of the lonesome lake trail back to the parking lot. Not many views today but low wind and mild temperatures made for a perfect day. |
