No problem blowdowns. Some trail rerouting on the Ammonoosuc from all the rain. Above treeline everything fine. |

| Comments: |
Given all the rain the trails are in surprisingly good shape. The Ammo has alot of runing water but generally avoidable. One of the ledge areas on the lower Ammo prior to the Gem Pool has all but eroded away. Use care as this spot is above the river and its a no fall spot. Lots of water on the crossings above the Gem Pool but all are manageable. The rocks (except where there was running water) were mostly dry and never a problem.
No issues above treeline on Monroe or Washington. A little water on Gulfside but never a problem.
The Jewell trail was largely dry. The bridge across Clay Brook is fine. The bridge across the Ammonoosuc right at the base of the Cog has been impacted significantly by water and debris. It has not been barricaded as of this writting but is quite sketchy. I would advise using the lower parking lot and avoiding this bridge.
A great day to be out and for Raoul to get #47 |
