Comments
Comments: Wonderful conditions for spike hiking. A nice well packed trail all the way as far as we went up the ledges, to roughly the 1.3 mark with the first major viewpoint before the copse of trees on ascent. With our 2:30 pm start time we decided to be conservative and just stop and enjoy what we did without gunning it for Dickey Mountain Summit. Much clearer skies than anticipated and zero wind made this touchstone of a peak worth savoring.
