Comments
Comments: Big day on the Piper trail assessing post-Irene damage. It felt real good to visit my trail and I was relieved at the minimal damage. Drainage work held up real well. Patched a few sections of erosion in the middle of the footbed. Will have to return to finish that work. Cleaned key drainage points that were filled in or needed touch ups. 10 decent sized blowdowns, including removing the root base of a blowdown that was in the trail. Will return this weekend hopefully to finish the summit and upper areas possibly patrolling from Champney Falls side.
