A fine time in the woods. Hiked in Tuesday evening to set up camp and packed up to hike the peaks the next day. An inch of fresh snow fell overnight and it continued to snow all day. All told only a few inches of new snow. Not quite enough for snowshoes, spikes were preferred on the steeps and bareboot was fine otherwise. Snow was sticky and balling at low elevations. I'm sure it will be a different story today after the freeze. Not enough snow cover for butt sledding so leave the sleds at home kiddos! |
