I didn't post yesterday, as I thought for sure that someone else would....there were about a gazillion other people out on these trails yesterday.
Yes, there is still ice lurking under the snow, but it wasn't a hazard like I thought it would be. Crawford path is pretty much snow covered, with occasional open ice, all easily negotiated with spikes.
Trek over to Eisenhower has open rock, ice, and a few drifts, but didn't warrant snow shoes, although I did meet a couple heading over to Eisenhower in shoes. Don't know how effective those shoes were across the ice patches.
Loop was mostly snowy, with very little ice that I could see.
