Comments
Comments: Nice hike to beat the storm. Only maybe 36 seen. Obviously the conditions I encountered have already changed. Micros on in lot stayed on until-just below Lafayette. Many areas not needed but didn’t want the on/off. Bear booted until heading down Falling Waters. FW was snow ice covered pretty much whole way down. Great views from all peaks, minimal winds. Snow started on Lincoln so headed down. Came upon 3 in lite traction you would use on sidewalk. How they made it up to Haystack is beyond me. Struggling, Falling, sliding when I passed them. Unbelievable, snow made icy more slippery. Traction is a must. Hillsounds & ice axe went for a ride today, but could have used the Hillsounds. Shout out to Ron, our 3rd hike this year we bumped into each other!
