Comments
Comments: Prior to the snow storm, trails were snow-free and mostly dry.

The steeps up Mack Ridge were tricky due to the slippery oak leaves. A few very minor patches of black ice on some ledges, but easily avoided without any fancy footwork. Similar for Mack-Klem Loop. Round Pond Road was dry.

Some of the north-facing and shaded ground was frozen, but otherwise a lot was not, so the snow may accumulate differently depending upon the exposure. Round Pond had a thin layer of ice.

Phone measured the loop as 7.5 miles.

Cloudy morning with temperatures around freezing. Snow started around 11. Only saw two other hikers.

Support liberty.
