Comments
Comments: Ice is still the main feature of this hike. I was able to use only light traction because the ice had kind of softened up. The little bit of snow between peaks was a treat to walk on, in contrast to all the ICE. Descending M was trickier than coming back down from N mostly because there were more trees to cling to on the way down N.
Livermore trail/road has large patches of just dirt, interspersed with large patches of ice. But the ice is easy to avoid.
Only up near the top of Scaur Ridge trail is there significant ice.
Maybe the snow dump tomorrow will cover all this nasty ice and make for a nice hiking surface.
