Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw 1 dog on trail, would not recommend for this route, left mine at home today. The group tried to head down Kinsman Ridge with the pup and had to turn back to take Hi-Cannon due to the ice. Saw small amounts of blood in snow I am assuming from doggo's paws. Commend the owners though for taking him back the safer route!

Comments
Comments: As previously mentioned the parking lot was very very icy. I was sliding even in a 4wheel drive truck. We went up Hi-Cannon trail without issue in microspikes. Ladder has a rope set up for easy climbing. Conditions were weird on Monday with how warm it was. Summitted and came down Kinsman Ridge Trail. At this point we switched to full crampons, and used ice axe for walking guidance. We were glad we had them as the trail was super icy. Trail is steep, had full ice sections of blue ice, with little to no snow on it to help with traction. Always a good day in the mountains!
