Comments
Comments: Conditions were a bit annoying yesterday. There was ice for a quarter mile or so, we needed spikes, then it cleared out for a quarter mile so spikes off, rinse and repeat until the dry brook bridge, so spikes were on and off. After the bridge the trail was pretty clear so no spikes were needed. The rocky ledges had icy patches which were easily avoidable, but with a dusting of snow such as we got last night, all bets are off. It may not be enough for spikes but if the icy patches are covered...surprise! The summit was completely devoid of ice and snow.
