Parking/Access Road Notes: Easy parking today at 9 AM. Parking lot still clear of snow and ice. 
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Ice - Black, Ice - Blue, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Recommended Equipment: Light Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Water crossings all had bridges and were easy to cross.

Trail Maintenance Notes: Only minor blowdowns. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Didn’t see any dogs. Ice would be challenging for dogs.

Bugs: None.

Lost and Found: None. 
 
Comments
Comments: Barebooted first quarter of hike, and then the ice started. It got steadily worse as we climbed. Light traction was a necessity, and the ice was quite thick in some places. Do not attempt Nineteen Mile Brook without spikes.
