One or two trees across the trail on Crawford Path, that will need to be dealt with come springtime. Webster Cliff trail near the hut could use some attention. Nothing that will trip anyone up in a big way. |

It wasn't the epic adventure, but it's a nice, easy hike. Visibility was "inside the ping pong ball" and not much better than that. The trail is easy to manage with spikes -- no need for snowshoes just yet. The snow is light and fluffy, and only a few inches deep at the most. Bear in mind the wind is making drifts all over.
Glancing at the trail heading over to Jackson, it's untrodden as of this writing. The snow that I experienced between Pierce and the hut wasn't nasty at all, leading me to think that if you wanted to link the two peaks, it's doable on at least some level. YMMV.
Photos and a detailed trip report are on my blog as always. |
