Comments
Comments: A little powder on top of ice. Our group used either Hillsound Trail Crampons or Hillsound Trail Crampon Pros and both worked fine. Light and/or dull spikes could be troublesome on some of the steeper, icier parts. Lots of rocks still showing through. In the flatter areas higher up, old shallow post holes that have frozen up after previously warm weather make for a rough trail. We bypassed the chimney bypass which seemed less sketchy than the bypass. I hope not to do this trail again for a long time. Have done it many times, but this time really seemed to suck.
