Comments
Comments: We did this in microspikes but mid level crampons (Hillsound Trail Crampons Pro) or even full crampons would not be overkill. Your choice is personal but it was VERY ICY! Ice was avoidable down low but the ledges were hard to avoid. Some of the ice that was "soft" today and allowed us to get some bite will be fully hardened ice bulges and domes by tomorrow. Very little snow left after the rains to help with grip. There were lots of very careful steps and vegetation grabs to get down safely.
