Livermore Road, Signal Ridge Trail
Livermore Road is closed for winter so parked at the lot at the beginning of the road. Light traction needed for the road and the trail due to ice under the snow, and most exposed rock was covered in ice. There had been a recent dusting of snow on the road, over any other packed snow and ice. At the start of the trail, there was a recent dusting over the other packed snow and ice, and as we climbed there was more snow, ranging from 2-6 inches of light powder over packed snow and ice. Some areas were like walking through sand, but still not enough for snow shoes, still too many exposed rocks. Only saw 4 others on the trail today. Beautiful day for Carrigain, and gorgeous views! Conditions will likely change after expected weather on Monday. |
