My first winter 4K and 11th overall this year. Easily done. Like other reviews the only hard part is the last half mile up North Peak and the first half mile down South. Seemed to go on forever! Plenty of snow up top and the ridge, about a 12"+ of fresh powder. Not really enough for snowshoes yet but only because I was using tracts of the early morning hikers which were few. Micro spikes all the way with no issues. Perfect day as the sun came out and the wind all but stopped when I reached the Outlook. They Grey Jays were waiting for me and hungry. Love them! Total hike was 9.8 miles, 5.5 hours. |
