Comments
Comments: Picked up a little more snow than forecast yesterday, then the temperatures did not drop as much as forecast overnight. As a result, the two inches of snow is down to one inch. The snow was still soft around sunrise this morning, but was firming up a little and was granular in nature. The blue ice bulges on Old Mountain Erode were soft, so the snow was starting to adhere to them. Still some open mud.

Crawford Ridgepole also had a trace to an inch of snow, but no snow or ice to contend with.

I did not carry spikes and don't think they'll be needed today, but I'd consider having them handy in the event of a thaw-freeze.

Though the temperature was above freezing at sunrise, the wind was whipping, making it frigid.
