Comments
Comments: Out/back on Kinsman Ridge Tr from the Tramway trailhead. Spikes from start to finish made the hike pretty straightforward. There is nearly total snow coverage, with some of the icier sections also now covered with sticky snow. The slab section is iced up but had enough snow cover to be able to zigzag up/down fairly easily (stay to the left if ascending). I was happy to see the mud sections in the saddle are now frozen and snow covered making them indistinguishable from regular trail. The boulder section at the base of the summit cone is filling in with snow but still some deep gaps that need to be avoided - I stepped on a "fluffy" spot and plunged into a rock void thigh deep ... don't do that. Stairs towards the top of the tower are looking more like a snow ramp now, wheee!
