Thin layer of ice on the rocks for the one major water crossing left me with some wet pants, but it's definitely doable with more patience. |

Didn't see a single person. The trail goes from spring to fall to winter in a matter of minutes. I suspect full on winter is not far off. The ice was bare bootable, but I was tempted to put on spikes in a couple of sections without knowing what was coming up. The snow was nice and compact until the summit where there were drifts as you'd expect. Snow had filled a bunch of the wind breaks at the summit, so i wasn't up there long. |
