Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Guinea Pond Trail before the “High Water Detour” is pretty submerged in spots -with some creative moves made it through - one spot I thought I’d be waking through thigh high -but found a better way around with minimal water coming over the tops of my boots. Much more water and that portion will get more challenging. Used the high water detour on the next portion.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails are good condition - pink flagging at Guinea Pond that leads up under the power lines- wasn’t clear the purpose for it, just something to be on the lookout for -it doesn’t denote the trail but turns right away from the trail. Some of the bog bridges have seen better days-but easy enough to manage.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: My two pups had an awesome day -we didn’t meet anyone else until our decent down Wentworth and must have run into about 4-5 dogs all enjoying the sunny weather and the trails.
Bugs
Bugs: None! Woo hoo!

Comments
Comments: This was a really great loop - so many cool features to see along the way on Bear Camp and Sandwich Notch Rd.-you can see the human history written in the woods with the stone walls, logging roads and all. There was some light snow and ice on the Mead Trail and near the top of Wentworth - not enough to need microspikes. Beauty of a place to hike!
