| Lost and Found: |
I found a lightweight down vest in a stuff sack near the Alpine Garden. I left it with the rangers in Pinkham Notch. |

| Comments: |
Conditions were pretty wet on the lower part of Tuckerman. It firmed up a bit as I moved up. Lion Head had a couple dicey spots with the ice, but wasn’t too bad overall. There were some significant snow drifts near the Alpine Garden, probably about knee high. The rocks on the final ascent up Washington had a significant ice covering. I used light traction the entire way, but would have liked snowshoes for the snowdrifts in the Alpine Garden. There was no need for full crampons. |
