Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail in good condition. Many blowdowns have been cleared. The part of the trail in the lower southeast slope of Mt Stanton could use additional blazes or a repaint of faded blazes. This is in a seasonal drainage area. I pulled out of large limb entangled in two small striped maples that was obstructing the trail on the slope of Mt Stanton
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: OK for dogs. Limited water.
Bugs
Bugs: None
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Saw a bright green balloon or bag snared high up in an evergreen tree. I was unable to reach it or shake it out (in the Crippies)

Comments
Comments: Only a dusting of snow and very little ice. No need for traction. The leaves were slippery on the steep portions of the trail particularly with the morning frostiness. The leaves hide underlying loose stones, sticks, and roots that can be tripping hazards. Good views of Mt Washington, the Montalban Range, and Carter Notch from various north outlooks and Attitash, Tremont, and Carrigain from south viewpoints. Attitash was making snow today. Lots of train whistles down in the valley. Many Red Pines on the ridge.
Met many hikers with all but two being late in the day trekkers ascending to Mt Stanton.
