Comments
Comments: We completed my 9 year old daughter’s NH48 today on Moriah. Beautiful sunny day for it! Put crampons on about 2.5 miles into the hike and kept them on most of the rest of the time. Ice on trail, especially at higher elevations. Highly recommend traction. Snow shoes not necessary yet. One water crossing was very challenging. I slipped in the water off of icy rocks before grabbing a stick and putting on crampons for more stability. So many beautiful views at the top. What a special hike for my daughter’s final peak!
