Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Lot fits about 4 cars and then another 5 or so cars can fit on the road right before the lot. I'm not sure how legal it is to park on this road but haven't seen any issues.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant, Leaves - Significant/Slippery
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: 3 or 4 small water crossings at the beginning that were all about a foot deep. One has unsecured tree branches as the bridge. Beware that these turn into snow bridges in winter and might not be easily visible.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in good shape but was pretty wet in some areas with some mud that was mostly avoidable. I went up with the other USFS maintainer for this trail to do a late fall cleanup. Cleared out all the water bars and cleared all the blowdowns. There are still a few leaners throughout the trail that are high up and out of reach but have potential to come down. There is a bog bridge on the upper part of the trail that's falling apart and needs replacement but we did add a log to it for some extra support.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Blaze orange recommended for dogs since it's hunting season.

Comments
Comments: Blaze orange is recommended as hunters do use this trail and the areas around it, especially towards the bottom before the logging clearing. We did pass one hunter near the large Kingsbury Chippewa trail sign.

There was no snow or ice on 11/13 but that has likely changed and light traction would be recommended.
