 | Comments: |
Wonderful hike of these peaks after an early morning turnaround just before the Kancamagus Pass heading to LW due to road conditions. Snow levels on trails ranged from a trace at lower elevations to 8+- inches approaching summits. i was able to bareboot until just after tentsite and opted for micros to be safe descending the partially frozen waterflows on trail. IMO with the next snowfall snowshoes will be needed. Limited but beautiful views from Garfield East Peak. Summit canister and register is intact and dry. notebook is 3/4 full. I crossed paths with one other hiker today just below the hut. |
